Our Purpose.

The San Diego County Firefighters Benevolent Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to caring for those who answer the call. Founded by firefighters and community advocates, we stand behind our local firefighters and their families when they need us most.

Your generosity helps provide emergency financial assistance during injury, illness, loss, and unexpected hardship. It also helps us build a scholarship program for firefighter dependents and establish a permanent memorial to fallen firefighters at Waterfront Park. Together, we support our firefighting families, invest in their futures, and honor the service and sacrifice of those we have lost.
